1. What’s the limit on the amount of times I can travel on my Annual Multi Trip policy?

You can travel as often as you like, to as many countries as you wish. There is however, a maximum duration of a trip which varies depending on your level of cover. Standard travel insurance has a maximum duration of 32 days per trip, Super travel insurance has a maximum duration of 45 days per trip and Premier travel insurance has a maximum duration of 62 days per trip.

2. What’s the maximum duration on a Single Trip policy?

The maximum duration depends on which level of cover and the number of days cover that you have purchased, however the maximum duration available on a Single Trip policy is 366 days. Check your policy certificate and wording for further information.

3. Do you have to be a UK resident to purchase travel insurance from InsuraTrip?

To purchase an InsuraTrip product you must be a resident of the United Kingdom, Channel Islands or British Forces Personnel Overseas (BFPO). Please note that upper age limits do apply on all travel policies. These are as follows; 100 years of age for Single Trip Travel Insurance, 74 years of age for Annual Multi-Trip Travel Insurance, 35 years of age for Backpacker Insurance and 55 years of age for Backpacker Plus Travel Insurance.

Don't worry if you're not eligible for InsuraTrip's Basic, Standard, Super or Premier travel insurance, as we can offer you an alternative travel insurance policy from Voyager Insurance that is available for both UK and EEA Residents (including people who have already travelled). 4. If more than one adult is on an Annual Multi Trip policy, can they travel separately and still be covered, or do they have to travel together?

They can indeed travel separately. Children on the policy however do need to be accompanied by an adult who is named on the policy.

5. What is the cancellation period?

There is a 14 day ‘cool off’ period after the purchase of your travel insurance. During this time, if you wish to, you can cancel your travel insurance and receive a full refund.

6. How do I get a copy of my policy documents?

When you purchase travel insurance from InsuraTrip, we send you a confirmation email with your policy documents attached. We recommend printing off a couple of copies of this email, and strongly recommend taking a copy on your travels with you.

That said, if you do misplace your policy and would like a copy, please contact us by phone on 01483 806 668 or email us at info@insuratrip.com.

7. What is the maximum duration of cover that I can get?

The maximum travel insurance trip duration that we can cover is 744 days, which comes to around 2 years and 2 weeks (only available for individuals aged 18-55) on a Long Stay or Backpacker policy. Alternatively, the Premier level of our Annual Multi-Trip Travel Insurance covers individual trips of up to 62 days in duration.

8. What is policy excess?

Excess is the first part of any claim that you are liable to pay for, in the circumstance of you making a claim.

9. Do I need to take my policy documents with me when I travel?

We highly recommend that you take a copy of all of your insurance documents on your travels with you, so that you are aware of your cover limits, should you need to make a claim or find yourself needing the emergency assistance service. We also recommend that you put our emergency numbers into your mobile phone.

10. Is it possible to buy a travel policy the same day as departure?

Yes it is possible to do so, however we would not recommend this, as you would not have any Cancellation Cover in place should you have to cancel your trip, for an insured reason, before travel commences.

11. Do I need to inform you of my holidays once booked, with an Annual Multi Trip policy?

No, but you do need to update us if any of your circumstances such as medical conditions change.
